As of 31 March 2012, HSS had global assets under custody of US$3,100 billion and global assets under administration of US$1,100 billion.

In Vietnam, HSBC was the first foreign custodian bank licensed by the State Securities Commission (SSC) to provide custody services in 2000. With 12 years of experience in Vietnam, our custody business provides sub-custody and securities clearing services to global custodians, investment banks, investment funds and other institutional investors and currently accounts over 50% foreign institutional investment in Vietnam. Since the launch of our fund services in Vietnam in 2006 to serve domestic public and member funds, we have been maintaining our leading position with approximately 65% market share. With our significant asset under administration and asset under custody and our flexible service quality, we are now the leading securities service provider in Vietnam.
