• Credit Card Application Form (original copy)
  
• ID card (a certified copy or the original ID to be crosschecked at the Bank. The date of issuance of the ID card must not exceed 15 years and include identifiable details and photo)
  
• In case the current residential address is the SAME as the address on the household registration book, the household registration book (a certified copy or the original ID to be crosschecked at the Bank)
  
• If the address is different, the KT3 (a certified copy or the original ID to be crosschecked at the Bank) is required in addition to the temporary residence (original copy with the seal and signature of the local authorities. The date of the certification must not exceed one month)
  
• Employment contract signed over one year ago (copy), or a certification letter stating the applicant's position, employment duration and salary (original)
  
• In case salary paid into an HSBC Payroll Account is not enough 3 months, customer need to provide bank statement (original) which reflects the applicant’s salary over the last three months
  
• The most recent telephone bill of their current residential address (or water supply bill or electricity bill)
  

• A credit card is an alternate means for making payment. When a payment is made on credit, it means the cardholder is not required to pay any money immediately for their purchases. The credit card issuing bank first pays the merchant for the purchases and the cardholder settles the transaction amount at a later stage.
  
• Cardholders can also withdraw cash from the credit card account (cash advance).
  
• A credit limit is assigned to each card. This is the limit the cardholder can spend or withdraw.
  
• A credit card also allows the consumer to 'revolve' their balance, i.e. not paying the full balance as indicated in the credit card monthly statement. However, the minimum payment amount indicated in the statement must be paid before the due date.
  
• A credit card is different to a debit card in that the former does not remove money from the cardholder's deposit account after every purchase or cash withdrawal.
