HSBC Supplementary Credit Card allows you to extend the benefits of your credit card to your loved ones. The credit limit of your primary card will be shared with your supplementary card(s) and your monthly statement will list all the transactions made by both cards.

Application criteria & Tools

- The supplementary card applicant must be from 18 to 75 years old.
- From 16 to 18 years old is applicable if primary cardholder is their parents.
- For HSBC Premier MasterCard® Credit Card, supplementary cardholder must be children, spouse or Premier joint account holders.
- For HSBC Visa Credit Card, supplementary cardholder can be the spouse, children, parents or friends.
- Copy (both sides) of identity card for Vietnamese or copy of passport for Foreigner.
- Residential Address Proof is required in case supplementary cardholder does not live together with primary cardholder.
- Relationship proof is required for HSBC Premier MasterCard® Supplementary Card in case supplementary cardholder is spouse or child.
If Supplementary card and primary card is applied at the same time:
Step 1: Get an HSBC Credit Card Application Form
Step 2: Complete Supplementary Card Application part which is included in the Primary Credit Card Application Form
Step 3: Prepare supporting documents
- Copy (both sides) of identity card for Vietnamese or copy of passport for Foreigner.
- Residential Address Proof is required in case supplementary cardholder does not live together with primary cardholder.
- Relationship proof is required for HSBC Premier MasterCard® Supplementary Card in case supplementary cardholder is spouse or child.
Step 4: Submit together with the primary application
- You can drop your application to one of HSBC branches/transaction offices
- For HSBC Visa Credit Card, you can post your application to P.O. Box 304, Saigon Central Post Office, HCMC, Vietnam.
If Supplementary card is applied after primary card was approved:
Step 1: Get an HSBC Supplementary Credit Card Application Form
- You can get a PDF form and print it out; or
- You can get a paper form by visiting one of HSBC branches/transaction offices.
Step 2: Complete the Supplementary Credit Card Application Form
Step 3: Prepare supporting documents
- Copy (both sides) of Identity card.
- Provide Residential Address Proof in your own name for current residential address OR for both current residential and permanent address if they are different.
- Relationship proof is required for HSBC Premier MasterCard® Supplementary Card in case supplementary cardholder is spouse or child.
Step 4: Submit together with the primary application
- You can drop your application to one of HSBC branches/transaction offices
- For HSBC Visa Credit Card, you can post your application to P.O. Box 304, Saigon Central Post Office, HCMC, Vietnam.
