- HSBC foreign customers (with the exception of Vietnamese citizens and US residents).
- Passport.
- Visa.
- Customs declaration (i.e. the white form attached in passport) - for foreign currency deposit.
- Address proof (e.g. house rental contract / utility bill / labour contract / introduction letter from current employer) for mailing purposes.
You are likely to be suitable for DCDs if you:
- have genuine needs in both of the currency pair i.e. have children studying in those countries
- intend to diversify among the currency pair
- are aware of risks involved* and have a balanced risk attitude** or more
- acknowledge that DCDs are not a capital protected product - foreign exchange loss can be incurred***
