• From foreign currency to another foreign currency or VND: available to all customers.
• From VND to foreign currency (upon availability): available to Vietnamese citizens or foreigners who have accounts at HSBC Vietnam.

Traveller’s Cheques

• Available to all customers.

Currency Exchange

• Existing HSBC customers: Passport or identification card.
• Non-HSBC customers: Passport or identification card and proof of money source.

Traveller’s Cheques

• Encashment: Passport or identification card and purchase slips (if available).

• Individuals who currently maintain a Savings Account or Current Account at HSBC (Vietnam) Ltd
  

Local	Passport/ identification card.   Remittance application form detailing the beneficiary name, bank name and account number of the receiving bank.   Specific supporting documents may be required.
Overseas	Passport/identification card.   Remittance application form with the beneficiary name, bank name, account number and SWIFT code of the receiving bank.   Supporting documents for outward remittance.   Specific supporting documents may be required.

• Individuals who currently maintain a Savings Account or Current Account at HSBC (Vietnam) Ltd.
  

Vietnamese citizens

• Passport or identification card
• Proof of address
  Any of the following documents can be used if valid and specify your name and address:
  •  Temporary residential confirmation issued within the last three months
  •  Family Registration Book, or valid KT3
  •  Utilities bills (water, electricity, fixed-line telephone, cable TV, fixed-line Internet) issued within the last three months
  •  Bank or credit card statements issued within the last three months
  •  Correspondence from banks or insurance companies issued within the last three months
  •  Valid photo driving licence
  

Foreigners (resident/non-resident)

• Passport
• Visa
• Customs declaration (i.e. the white paper completed on entry and attached in your passport)
• Proof of address
  The following documents can be used if valid and specify your name and address:
  •  Temporary residential confirmation issued within the last three months
  •  Utilities bills (water, electricity, fixed-line telephone, TV cable, fixed-line Internet) issued within the last three months
  •  Management fee bills, rental bills issued within the last three months
  •  Bank or credit card statements issued within the last three months
  •  Correspondence from banks or insurance companies issued within the last three months
  •  Valid driving licence with photo
