Security device

Many of you may wonder why you need a security device. The reason is that online security is our top priority, after all, why transact online if you are not comfortable and confident with the service. The security device effectively means that you have a new code each time you log on to internet banking (in addition to your password), making it much more difficult for a criminal thief to break into your account.

Note: If your code does not work, it may be unsynchronized and can be fixed by calling our 24-hour Customer Service Hotline at (84 8) 37 247 247. If your security device is defective or broken, please use the Maintenance/Cancellation form to have it replaced.

 

Some facts about our Security Device

  • It is small, lightweight and portable. It can be used on any internet-enabled PC and does not require downloads, or set-ups.
  • It generates security codes which constantly change and are unique to your Security Device.
  • The code generation is not dependent on signal availability or the geographical location of our customers.
  • The Security Device works by running complex algorithms, which provides a high level of protection from large variety of online attacks.

 

The first thing to do after receiving your Security Device

Activate the Security Device by logging on with your Username and Password, then entering the serial number from the back of the Security Device and the 6-digit security code generated from the Security Device. Download Personal Internet Banking User Guide for more details.

 

Tips for the Security Device

  • Keep it in a safe and secure place, where it is unlikely taken by others.
  • Keep it dry and away from large temperature fluctuations.
  • You should never allow anyone to use, possess or control your Security Device.
  • Never reveal your Security Code to anyone.
  • Please note that there is no way for you to replace the battery. Tampering with the internal parts of your Security Device will cause it to malfunction.
  • Contact our Customer Service hotline at (84 8) 37 247 247 if your device stops working, or if the code entered into internet banking is not recognized.
