How to activate your HSBC credit card

It's quick and easy to activate your card using the HSBC Vietnam app.

When your new credit card arrives, you'll need to activate it before you can use it. You can use the HSBC Vietnam app to activate your new card anytime, anywhere, so you can start using it instantly.

How to activate your card using the HSBC Vietnam app

Step 1: Log on to the HSBC Vietnam app and select your credit card account from the summary page.

Step 2: Tap 'Manage cards'.

Step 3: Select 'Activate card'

Step 4: Tap 'Activate' to submit your request.

Congratulations! Your new card will be activated instantly and ready to use.

How to activate your card over the phone

Step 1: Call our hotline:

Step 2: Press 1 for Vietnamese or 2 for English and then enter your 16-digit card number followed by '#'

Step 3: Press 1 for card activation

Step 4: Answer your security questions

 

Congratulations! Your new card will be activated instantly and ready to use.

Check the sticker on the back of your new card for easy instructions on how to activate it by SMS.
