How it works

Shop with your HSBC Credit Card and convert your bill into equal monthly repayments.

You can repay over up to 12 months, with 0% interest and a preferential one-time conversion fee. Or, you can repay over 24 or 36 months and get a preferential one-time conversion fee and monthly interest rate.

How to apply for our Spend Instalment

Log on to your HSBC Vietnam app and select your credit card account
Tap "Spend Instalment"
Select which transactions you want to convert and your repayment plan
Review and submit the application

1. What is the Spend Instalment?

The Spend Instalment lets you convert your HSBC Credit Card purchases to equal monthly instalments.

2. Who is eligible for the Spend Instalment?

The Spend Instalment is open to primary HSBC Credit Cardholders. If you are a primary HSBC Credit Cardholder, you can also apply for an instalment plan for transactions made with the supplementary cards on your account.

3. What is the eligibility criteria for the Spend Instalment?

You are eligible if you're the primary cardholder and your account:

is not past due, over limit or blocked/closed
has eligible transactions of VND2,000,000 or above
Eligible transactions are defined as retail purchases (local and overseas) that are on your latest HSBC Credit Card statement, or retail purchases that are on the HSBC system but not yet billed to your statement.
Transactions that are not eligible include cash advances, outstanding balances from other instalment plans, any fees or finance charges, and applicable taxes, if any.

4. Can I select multiple transactions to convert into one plan?

Yes, you can select up to 10 transactions for each instalment plan.

5. What is the minimum amount to convert into a Spend Instalment?

You must convert at least VND2,000,000 of retail purchases in a single receipt.

6. How long does it take to process a Spend Instalment application submitted via the HSBC Vietnam app?

Your application will be processed immediately and will be displayed within the next 2 working days.
